    Hi everyone,

Thought i would share an interesting research that just came out. AAKG (arginine) has recently been shown to lower body fat and increase muscle mass at the same time. It does so in a nutshell by increasing the number of capillaries in throught the lipose tissue tacking nutrients away (shrinking fat cells) and transporting it to the muscle tissue. It is also shown to increase GH levels.

Your basic AAKG would probably come from any NO2 porduct however the dosage that is shows on it is only there to give you a pump. To be able to take the full advantage of the AAKG effects you would need to up the dose to a quite serious 7-10 g 3 times daily !!!!

It does seem high in my opinion but i have been following this on roughly a weeks time and dont see any side effects or any sort off energy drops. I will report back on this issue in about a month as the studies shown that subjects normally lost 2lb of fat and gained 2lb of muscles simultainously.

Might be worth a try for a lot of people there who have never used AAKG or NO2 products as they deffinately bring results in my opinion.

    Success in training to everyone.

...this was one of the reasons why alot of companies were having issues selling this as the dose required from there tubs just wouldnt make AAKG worthwhile supplement. It also needs to be taken with select few other supplements to synergistically work....effectively.

Well i haven't heard of the other select few. but yeah most of them say that creatine is quite important for a good synergy.

I was thinking about powder form like 1kg tub.

I would no way take 7-10g of AAKG once let alone 3 times a day.

I had to stop taking the stuff at like 1-2g a day......the above dosage would make me blow a vessel in my **** and prob give me a stroke!

On AAKG, if i sat down for more than a couple of minutes a problem would 'pop up', seriously....bedtime was a whole different kettle of fish.

I found overall it is a very powerful supplement (MASSIVE pump etc) but i found it was all too much and it hasn't been touched for months.

At that kind of dosage you can combine it with glutamine and HMB and make a drink called Juven that is apparently so effective they give it to burns victims in hospitals.

Have a read of this thread: http://forum.myprotein.co.uk/showthr...ight=glutamine

I've actually tried this but not for any real length of time. I've just ordered 1kg of AAKG and some HMB aswell no glutamine though.... hmmm

Bison, you know that glutamine has been shown to blunt the effects of AAKG. So i dont know how adding it to the '****tail' would actually work.

Mate if you listen to every report, etc you'll find every vitamin, mineral, amino acid, cat and dog interfere with each other, compete with each other, cancel each other out, etc, etc.

I've stopped listening to it all to be honest... it's a miracle we actually manage to absorb anything lol
