  1. Default Merits Of A Tazor Gun While Training

This could go under the more extreme methods of training for gains but there is some method to the madness.

And yes, this is suggesting that you get zapped by a small Tazor Gun before nstarting any sets.

    Why?

Well first off there's aggression. Let's face it, you're gonna be pretty p***ed off receiving a few bolts of electricity and we all know extra aggression, if used correctly, can aid your lifts.

Secondly ther electrical impulses can dramatically increase ATP production and reduce your rest times between sets. And shorter rest times between sets will promote increased levels of released GH.

    Not convinced?

Well how about these Slendertone Ads offering a 6 pack and muscle tone within weeks. Rubbish? Not exactly. What they fail to say is that performing crunches while the device is on and sending electrical impulses can yield up to 10% improved gains.

So electrical impulses, more GH, less fat on your Abs. Maybe they were talking sense but we manipulated in the wrong way?

Sticking a cattle-prod up your rectum as a training aid might work, yes. I do not recommend it however. Why not find a good hypnotherapist and go for the placebo effect instead? Save you money on batteries in the long-run!

There is a lot to be said for stun guns etc although I wouldnt consider using them unless you have exhausted your natural development .

I was speaking to a firearms officer at work and was told that they now have to be trained to draw the Taser gun right and left handed .

A number of officers who uses Tasers have experienced back problems and on closer inspection they have found that the leg muscles on the side on which the Taser is holstered now have development which is greater than the other leg

As a result they now have to rotate the holster every week to avoid this overdevelopment , imbalance and hence back pain

Its not something you can try at home but the science is clearly there .

Is this aimed directly at the muscle group being worked each time? or just in general to get the agression up?

There's also many different types of taser gun also, would the version with the wire and pins work best due to being able to precisely position them at the target spot of muscle to produce the best contraction of muscle? or is the larger area of the taser better due to hitting more of the muscle?

Also, how dangerous would it be to hit the muscle mid movement? in say the weak spots? just to really contract the muscle hard enabling the lift to be completed? any ideas?

    Interesting.

I know that in the cold war days, a secret technique the Russians used to great success with their athletes was performing their pre-training warm-up whilst surrounded by an electromagnetic field.

The idea is that the magnetic field has an effect upon the charged particles in the blood which pulls them into the tiny blood vessels and causes these vessels to expand. This then leads to increased blood flow, better capiliarisation and superior nutrient delivery.

I think they also did some tests on MIR (the russian space station) to try to combat the muscle wasting effects of zero gravity using electromagnetic fields, and gentle electric shocks to the muscle to stimulate hypertrophy - and had great success too!

It seems western science is only just catching up!

I think, if you started doing this on a regular basis, you would end up suffering from adrenal fatigue. After all, the only reason why it would work is because the shock/pain would kick off a 'fight or flight' response and cause an upsurge of adrenaline!

I wouldn't want to use it mid bench press, the convulsions can be unpredictable

Some interesting points you've brought up.

In experience of simulation I would tend to favour a more global option for compounds while isolation could be far more localised.

An electro magnetic suit would be ideal, especially if it had the functionality to turn on and off areas for specific targetting of a muscle group.

For ease of use I'd go with the gun that Rab recommends over the "hook and wire".
