In an effort to not hijack the recent thread about the Bigger, stronger, faster movie I was wondering if anyone would give me a reason why you would Inject Synthol into yourself?

    another question:

Greg Valentino had HYOOOGE arms but they didnt look like a regular steroid users. can someone explain why his were so 'Retarded'?

Greg used stupid amounts of Synthol or similar substance.

Basically it is a collegen liquid like what is used to pump up womens lips etc.

People use it to because it swells a muscle up and stretches the fascia to allow future muscle grow (or that was the theory).

BB'er use it to boost lagging bodyparts in the run up to a show. It can only really be used in small muscles (otherwise the muscle looks lumpy) and only in small amounts (otherwise the muscle looks deformed).

Realistically used properly it give 1-2" of growth on the arms without adding any muscle. Sounds good? Its not real muscle, it hurts like hell, it can be very prone to infection and therefore carries some nasty side effects like amputation.

It's certainly not something that people should consider.

Hurts because you have to inject it with a rather large needle deep into the muscle belly. And hurts beacuse it basically irritates your muscle from the inside (think having a thorn stuck inside) stopping it working properly adn causing it to swell up.

Realistically unless your arms are 18inch + in good shape then you wouldn't get much effect from it other than the pain.

Bugger me that sounds spicey. Is Synthol Legal?

Last question: Why did Greg tell people it was only AAS and not Synthol? Im guessing its something along the lines of: If I tell people it was only steroids then any shmuck that gets his hands on some will buy my DVD to get like me... ?

    Im not sure though.

Yes it is legal in a sense - it doesn't contain anything illegal.

Saying that it is sold for external use only, possibly because selling injectables may be illegal, or may put synthol in the illegalsubstance category, im not sure TBH.

Greg was obviously getting paid to put kids off steroids so the truth did not emerge.

Edit: The clips of Greg drawing rancid liquid out of his arms was a result of synthol use not steroids, asnd one of the side effects I mentioned before. This wouldn't have given the same message to the masses though.
