    I'm interested in knowing if people on this forum do this at all and if they believe it has any noticeable benefits of any sort or whether you are sceptical at all.

    I read a study once that said that people who take regular ice baths are more prone to put on weight, as their body makes them eat more to counteract the increased metabolism from the cold. That might be relevant here.

    I have weeks off diving now and then (off again in a couple of weeks), this means I'm often in relatively cool water 2-3 hours day, I've never failed to come back leaner, it's also a hell of a lot more enjoyable than cold showers!

    The extra calories burned maintaining body temp are pretty significant, but do you really want to stand in a cold shower long enough to make it worthwhile?
