I'm a big fan of Western Price's work and thoughts on the merits of a traditional diet. So I thought this may be of interest; it's a recipe from the WPA, for people wanting to make natural baby milk instead of using processed formula (you need raw milk plus a few extras, most of which you could buy off MP - and I have also thought about adding Colostrum when I try this).

The question is.... would it make you grow like a baby?

I'm already a big fan of Raw Mike PWO, but perhaps this would pimp it up a bit.....

Interesting. I wonder how much longer this will be viable in the US seeing as how the FDA is cracking down on raw milk producers/vendors? I agree that commercial formulas are terrible - have you ever read the ingredients list on the back of one of those packages? It's as bad as laboratory 'rat chow'!

To answer your question (tongue in cheek, I'm sure): No. Babies grow the way they do due to hormones (and supported by the nutrition in mother's milk) not purely due to the ingredients in mother's milk.

Thanks for the reply....yup, I agree over your 'grow like a baby' comment, it was a bit tongue in cheek really - but that said, it's a decent formula for support growth. Secondly - if/when I have a kid(s), I'd have them on this rather than the crap in the formulas. Thirdly - some of the stuff going down in the USA looks absolutely terrible, concerning raw milk/organics..... however, they're going to face a mega backlash if it continues - they don't realise the fire they're playing with; I'm in the UK obviously, but I'll be marching the day they dare try it here.....

Serious question. My wifes 5 weeks off dropping, and the best I can hope for is that she will part breast-feed. She will not do it all of the time.

The first ingredients of pretty much every formula I have seen is lactose. Lactose ffs!!

Any suggestions for as close to natural baby milk or formula would be extremely well received.
