Yes, I've seen this (may have even quoted it somewhere). Nice to see that someone of his 'authority' has stated in print that the protein synthesis seen after the ingestion of protein/amino acids is a 'transitory/short term storage phenomenon', which I've been saying for quite a while, and won't necessarily result in huge muscles unless those muscles have been specifically exercised beforehand to initiate a much longer and muscle specific protein synthesis response.

Good to see Alex has taken the plunge so to speak.

One thing I would note, is that if you do remove all PWO carbs rememebr to still make up the calories (from carbs if you wish) in the following 24hrs to make it a fair trial, as opposed to just omittting them.

    Good luck

    Excellent post again HTTK

When you eat the foods your body is made for (Paleo foods) in a framework that your body is made for (feast-fast, such as IF), it all works beautifully.

I'm having an extra couple of squares of 86% dark chocolate which amounts to around the same. Otherwise a couple of oatcakes with peanut butter.

Week 1 completed with no carbs around the workout period and so far, so good. Recovery has been fine as have energy levels for the next day's workout. I've been adding some cardio sessions which will increase a little more and simply been using an Amino mix in water for these.

My gut feeling is that ultimately I may need about 10g carbs Intra Workout once I'm up to full speed with all my sessions in place and I start to increase my VO2 Max to match fitness but we'll see what the next 2 weeks bring on.
