    Excellent! Been a long time coming, but it looks like a good product. I have very low stomach acid levels, so i need to use a lot of Betaine HCL (about 2g per main meal). The btaine levels for me are a little low - with the Betaine at this dose, i would probably need about 6-7 of these per meal.

    Seriously mate?

    Are you unable to digest food normally? if so could you not get a prescription on the NHS or something?

    Yes, my digestion is that bad. It stems back to when i got serious food poisoning in Israel years ago, and my stomach has never recovered. I had tubes put in my stomach, put on proton pump inhibitors (which made things much worse - good ol' NHS do it again ), and had consultations with specialists, but they never found out what it was. I was passing blood due to whole food passing through me (sometimes i reckon it came out so intact i could wash it off, put it back on the plate and serve it to someone else) and tearing up my intestines. I treated myself through three means:

    a) Large amounts if enzymes and HCL-promoting substances with each meal;

    b) Large amounts of probiotics consumed with prebiotic foods;

    c) Going paleo diet-wise;

    My guts are much much better now than they were then, but still not 100%. I am going to pay privately in the future to get a gut health analysis done.

    I am useless at swallowing pills and tablets so was pretty disappointed when i saw the size of them. I bit down on the first one......thank goodness for the papaya extract, they are sweet and palatable.

    I have noticed since using DigestiMax that I feel less bloated/stuffed after meals (I take it breakfast, lunch & dinner). It's effects are especially noticeable for me with foods that usually cause wind/*farting in me no longer doing so (or at the least the volume of wind reduced to around 15-20% what I would usually expect to experience) the usual food culprits for me are:- kidney beans in my chilli-con-carne, pork (bacon/sausages), onions/leeks in any shape or form. A great example is the amount of cabbage I had in Coma's Lasagne recipe last night + I had excess cabbage leaves on the side of the dish as there was too much leftover from assembling the dish & I didn't want to see good vegetables go to waste in the bin - I didn't feel bloated after the meal & I didn't have to muffle the bedsheets to contain any nasty niffs at bedtime

    (*Sorry to be so blunt in my wording & I hope it doesn't seem crass of me - but it's true I'm less "windy" now!)

    Forgive me if this is a basic question or ridiculous for that matter...

    Do these need to be used sparingly or with caution at all? I am 99.9% certain that it would not be the case but the reason I ask is if you take these as an external source of enzymes would the body stop producing it's own?
