Anyone any ideas on a good programme for the Mrs, she is trying to lose weight before our wedding in February.

Im looking for a basic weights programme which she could easily follow without me being there as she goes to the gym during work days.

Also would be interested to hear thoughts on good supps to help speed up the fat loss if anyone knows of any.

    Cheers in advance

Compounds, compounds and more compounds... ha ha...

Basicaly keep it simple and you will get better results than doing loads of Cardio, lots of exercises/reps/sets... etc..

Also the biggest point would be the eating? as long as she gets the eating right, a good basic full body session 3 times a week will be all she'll need to shape up and be the Lovely Bride I am sure she already is...

    Something along the lines of:

    A. Squat, Upward Press, Downward Pull, Triceps

    B. Deadlift, Forward Press, Horizontal Pull, Biceps

would do her alright, done 3xper week, ie aba then week 2 bab, then repeat.

she'll propably tell you that she doesn't want to do deads or squats, but have a read thru this thread
    PB's as of 2010: Deads 220kg, Squat 200kg(190 currently) , Bench 115kg,
    2012 Targets: Deads 250kg, Squats 230kg, Bench 130kg.

+1 to the above, Dope hit the nail on the head with 'keep rest times short'. She could do a lot worse than following the workout in the fat loss article on the main MP page, or a derivative of it.

Supps wise, make sure she is taking fish oil as a bare minimum. In addition to that, sesamin is quite good, as is green tea and alcar. Consider some form of protein if she is not meeting her protein needs from her diet alone, as you want to at least retain whatever muscle she has now, and the weight loss wants to be fat based, rather than muscle based.
