I am looking for help in general regarding my training.

I was going to Muay Thai twice a week but felt that my overall fitness needed improvement before going back. I have just joined a new gym and they have got decent machines and will be working out with them.

They only have dumbells no bars and was just wondering if anyone can recommend a good workout with the dumbells?

Do you recommend bigger weights lower reps for building up my upperbody?

I have a good diet (that slipped during christmas and new year) and I will be back using whey protein shakes.

    Many thanks

You can work every muscle in the body with DBs alone

Dependant on how big they go too.

All deltoids can be hit with front/side/rear raises
chest can be hit at all angles with DB pressing/flyes bench set decline/flat/incline
legs can be hit with DB squats/lunges! calfs can be hit with standing raises.
Arms can be hit with hammers/preachers/curls at wrist/tri extensions
Back can be hit with Deads/DB rowing/ pullups can be done anywhere!

What i would say is IMO is find a better gym!!! but as above you can utilise DBs quite easily seach youtube for example DB pressing or DB flyes etc etc
