Why don't you try making the flapjacks in the recipes section and then bring a whole load around with you and eat them throughout the morning, even if you don't feel hungry you could work out how quickly you can eat them without feeling bad?
welcome torranvell, loads of knowledge on this forum, you cant go wrong.![]()

Thanks Guys,
Flapjacks sound great and would probably work well. Have been doing loads of research on here and online. Have set up a Fit day journal and am not eating near enough calories for what I'm using!!
Quick update; Managed porridge this morning 2 1/2 hours before I started which worked fine, but was still starving when I got home. Have had a pasta and chicken salad 890cals and will have a good meal tonight followed by natural yoghurt and fruit about an hour before bed.
Still heaps to learn, but am enjoying it! I've ordered some whey protein too as I don't think the oats and palatinose are going to be enough. I'm hoping a shake before work along with porridge, then take snacks (hopefully flapjacks now) and drink with palatinose in to work should help.
Thanks! I couldn't post the link as I don't have enough posts! I got some unflavoured Impact Whey Protein this morning, cant wait to get home and try the recipe out.
What time do you get up, and what time do you start work?
the flapjacks are really good for snacking. you control how much of the stuff you use when you make it and it works out well cheaper than buying lunch.
if you have any queries or problems, just post it up on my flapjack thread per posted by LH.
oh yeah, welcome.

Jordan, I get up at 6am and start work at 9am most days, 8am on a Mondays (don't sort mail on my round, just pick up bags and start delivering).
Cheers dope, I'll have a go at making these as soon as the whey arrives.
cool. the first batch you make will most likely be a prototype. so that if you decide to make it next time, you can tweak amounts slightly/ adjust cooking times, etc.

If you ate at 7am you would still have stomach cramps 2hrs later? Try a 3egg cheese omelette, it's relatively light and perhaps easier to eat than a bowl full of porridge. Could try taking a pack of nuts on your rounds with you, full of calories and protein. Should really try and up your calories, I'd imagine carrying all that weight around whilst doing a lot of walking would burn a substantial amount. Are you a vegetarian? Saw no meat mentioned in your post, should try and include some if you can![]()
