    Hi Friends,

Relative newbie here, so please go easy on me!

I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to comment on my supplement intake. I'm not sure if I'm taking the right supplements at the right time or if i'm just taking too much! I'm 5'11" male, 13.5 stone, my goals are to pack on some mass and bulk up asap. I do about 35 mins cardio before an 1hr of weights.

    Morning Shake:
    30g Whey Isolate,
    3g L-Glutamine,
    50g Fine Scottish Oats
    10ml Honey
    Alpha Male Multivitamin,
    5ml Omega 3 6 9
3g Citrulline Malate (only on workout days)
3g BCAAs (only on workout days)

    Pre-workout:
    3g Glutamine Peptides
    3g Citrulline Malate
    10g Peptopro

    Post Workout:
    20g Peptopro
    250ml Apple Juice
    5g BCAA

    Bedtime Shake:
    10g Whey Isolate,
    20g Egg White Protein
    3g L-Glutamine
    5g Essential Amino Acids
    5ml Omega 3 6 9

Is there anything you would change / reorder / add?

Your comments are greatly appreciated !

    Thank you,

    Ryder

    Weights first then do cardio.

What's your diet like? Unless that's upto scratch then all the supps in the world aren't going to help you.

Why use isolate? are you lactose intolerant??

That is a lot of supplements, i wish i could afford that many lol. I still just use whey and creatine occasionally. If you're new to weight training i don't think you need all that stuff in my opinion, obviously if you can afford it then go for it as you'll probably progress faster (not a whole lot faster, but faster none-the-less). Like bison said, if you're not training or eating correctly (or both) you aren't going to get anywhere in a hurry even with that extensive list of supplements.

Also, BCCA won't really do much unless it is taken in a large dose, I don't remember the exact formula Poliquin suggests, but a dose of 20g at a time should do the trick. However, I am of the opinion, through using it myself, that BCAA and EAA are both a waste if your diet is decent (which it SHOULD be).

    Hi Guys,

Sincere thanks for your replies. I completely acknowledge that no amount of supplements is going to make any difference without a decent diet and some serious blood, sweat and tears in the gym. I'd say my diet is good, not perfect by any means, but mostly regular balanced meals (meat & two veg or salad) with adequate amounts of fats. I snack mostly on nuts and avoid junk food. I could list a diet dairy if someone would be kind enough to look over it?

Thanks for the advice Bison, I've changed my routine in the gym to do the Weights first then do light cardio, it's made a big difference on how much I can lift.

I'm now planning to do a 4 day cycle:

Day 1: Upper Body + Light Cardio
Day 2: Lower Body + Heavy Cardio
Day 3: Arms & Abs + Light Cardio
    Day 4: REST

Yes, I use isolate because I'm lactose intolerant. Interesting comment about BCAA's being unless taken in a large dose, can anybody confirm that? I usually have it capped. I tried taking 10g of it in powder form. OMG, the taste is beyond rank. How do you get this stuff down you in it's raw form without caps? I can't be taking 10-20 caps of this!

cut_to_FK, I don't take Whey PWO because it would slow down the absorption of the Peptopro. I take the apple juice to replace the glycogen not for the protein . I'm thinking of changing my post-workout shake to: 20g Peptopro, 50g WMS & Water. Any suggestions?

I'm wondering if more testosterone would make a difference?

I'm going to up the amount of L-Glutamine to 5g per serving. Also, is it okay to mix L-Glutamine with Glutamine Peptides?

What's better to have a morning shake as soon as you wake up? or after food?

    Thanks for your advise guys,

    Ryder
