    Hey,

So I'v just joined and I'm looking for some help with how to loose my gut/stomach and "tone up"

I'm aiming for a thing but toned build. (Think spiderman or something )

I'm quite tall (6" 2ish) and not really very fat its just my stomach, I hate it and it makes me not want to go swimming etc. Its worse when I sit down

    I currently weigh 13st 96Lb and I'm 19.

    My diet is:

Breakfast: Cereal (Normally Bran Flakes with dried cranberrys)

Lunch: (If I have any) sandwhiches with chicken and flora in.

Dinner: Pasta / steak / chicken.

I don't snack much if at all between meals.

I go climbing (Bouldering) once a week for 2 hours which completely destroys me and my muscles and I occassionally go cycling but not often.

I work in an office which doesn't help

I've got a picture to show what I'm talking about in regards to the gut, It's not terrible when I'm stood up but when I'm sat down its horrible.

Edit: Ok I can't post the picture until I have made 15 posts. And I'm not allowed more than 4 smileys: Is this the most restricted forum on the net ?!?!?!

I was just hoping someone could help advise me on how much/what type of exercise I should be doing every week and what I should be eating. And also if any supplements would help me ?

The gut must go ! I'm completely dedicated to getting rid of it because I have always been stick thin until I got this office job

    I appreciate any help anyway

    Thanks!

diet is kinda crap to be honest! lol

breakie: eggs (scrambled, poached, whats your poison?) + some oats (this is additional, i do, as i have massive breakie, then lower down foods)

lunch: make food from home, tuna salad, chicken + brown rice, caesar salad? endless combinations (try and stop sarnies)

dinner: dinners ok, try some brown pasta

try and have snacks, some nuts, some yogurt+berries/frozen berries, cheeses, beef jerky, tuna!

    what's your training like?

to lose the gut, you gotta lose the crap diet!

You work in an office. So 1) make sure your desk is setup properly if you're sitting there for a good 7 - 8 hours. 2) getup and stretch as often as possible, every 15-20 minutes if you can 3) Get a decent chair with lumbar support.

I thought I had stomach fat(I do have some) but what made it look worse, was poor posture(caveman).

Alright I'll try out some other stuff for breakfast I just don't have much time to cook in a morning. I find sandwhiches really boring for lunch anyway so changing that shouldn't be too hard ! And I will grab some brown pasta to try too. I have never tried Oats xD

I'm not a member of a gym but I could cycle to work if it would help ? its about 6 miles each way (And would save me a hell of a lot of money in petrol!)
I go climbing every week too.

Yeah I own a RS 182 nice spot!

Would any supplements help me out with this or are they more for once I have lost the gut and want to start toning ?

no i thought you might go gym, you don't have to cycle (and with a 182 i wouldn't walk anywhere hahaha nice car lucky git haha)

oats are nice (don't get ready brek crap, get some whole oats, i personally like Sainsburys Taste The Difference Jumbo Oats, cost like 89p for 1kg )

like TRC work on posture, it can/has made such a difference to loads of people on here!

sorry i cannot talk too much about cars on here, LH (a mod) hates it haha, i might make a thread! so just pop in

I did have a gym membership but it was £50 a month and my mates stopped going - Didn't like going on my own. A shame really because I got really good at running on treadmills.

I might go shopping in a bit for some oats and stuff.. Are Asda premade chicken Caesar salads any good for lunch when I'm at work ?

My posture is bloody terrible if I'm honest I slouch so much I'm nearly lying down on chairs

The car costs too much ! insurance at 19 years old hits hard. If you make a thread I'll show you a picture

    Cheers.

Alright I'll try find a recepie or something lol (I struggle to boil an egg )
I hate weights tbh I would rather pull my body weight up a wall when I go climbing cardio is ok but boring but not bad.

Erm I dunno I joined the Virgin Active gym because it had a pool and spa

I'll talk to you about cars in your thread

Edit: Don't know if it makes a difference but I don't drink alcohol either.

you'll have to make time dude. plan in advance your meals and bulk prepare them. that way it saves time and hassle.

just make yourself some sandbags and train with them at home for a bit. super cheap and super fun. check the link in my signature for it.
