    General advice:
    - you can't spot-reduce fat, so if you decide to lose fat then it will come off the chest eventually, but maybe not straight away
    - doing weights will give you the appearance of a broader chest

I've seen guys get the appearance of an amazing "chest lift" when losing fat, so maybe thats the way to go.

By the way, are you sucking your stomach in a lot in that picture?

As you are now training, and hopefully also eating better, your hormone levels will increase thus promoting a more masculine figure, this alone should promote a leaner, more broader chest, if after a few months you still feel unhappy with your chest 'fat' you could always diet down a little

    Hmm..

First of all welcome to the forum. Now with regards to your post - Not being able to spot-reduce fat is correct, as is everything James said. However, I'll be honest with you (I would appreciate this if I were in your position myself) but that picture screams absolute underdevelopment to me. Train and diet consistently for 6 months and see where you're at, then you can assess your body and goals from there.

One quick, and most likely pointless question.. I assume you haven't taken any form of steroid in the past?

I doubt he has, but I think I know what you are thinking. I am sort of hoping the OP is holding is stomach in, and making his chest look disproportionately bigger and "flabbier" than it is, hence my question.

Yeah.. other than that it's a case of (time and effort)=progress.

Underdevelopment = lack of muscular development = you ain't got no muscles bro

With decent training and diet, and the magic of newbie gains, you should be able to add some muscle mass, and lose fat at the same time (only for a few months, but it will happen). That should make things look a lot better.

Basically meaning that your body is clearly 'new to the game' and IMO if you really train and diet well for 6+ months you'll see a completely different physique.
