just joined and was after a bit of advice please... in the past iv never been able to gain weight which frustrates the hell outa me. iv spent about £200 on proteins and weight gains that where suggested and told they worked. iv tried different routines and plans and still no weight gain or muscle mass gain, i do get stronger in my lifts which is a confidance boost but never see any physical gains or gains on the scales which just gets me down... iv been thinking about starting back up and was after any advice from people that are hard gainers and succeded or if any1 knows the best way to train for the best gains. much appreciated and many thanks

Hi and welcome mate, looks like you've been given a lot of bad information..have a read of spiderdan's beginners guide. It'll answer most of your questions and make a lot of sense. If you have any questions after reading, feel free to post. Good luck!

Supplements are not magic, for instance, a whey protein shake is just the same as eating, say, a chicken breast minus the vitamins and minerals. Diet is KING and a HUGE part of all health, fitness and weight training lifestyles. Fat loss or muscle gain is going to be determined by total calories, what you eat will inititally not even matter, as long as you are getting the calories and protein intake.

As advised, read SpiderDans guide and digest.
