"Squatting on a Bosu ball makes it so much more challenging!" So does getting tapped in the balls while squatting, want me to do that too?
sometimes less is more, ive done a 7 days a week workout schedule before and now im on a 3 0r 4 day split and had the best results yet in my 3 years of training. pay special attention to your diet and the rest will follow.

If your just starting out dont push yourself too hard, going to the gym twice a day will often become laborious for a beginner. The idea of getting up to go to the gym AGAIN will probably start to overface you and you'll stop going, dont do too much too soon. Start out slowly, going on a three day split, with a rest day inbetween each workout. If losing the weight is your priority and not bulking up then do your cardio first but make sure you push yourself to atleast a reasonable level, otherwise all your 'efforts' will be in vain. Increase your workload each time you go, once you've been going for awhile, you will start to enjoy pushing yourself more and more. The cardio will also act as a good warm up before you move onto the weights. Again, while lifting, you want to find an easy to follow straight forward workout plan. i.e two or three exercises for each muscle group, with three sets of ten reps on each. Most importantly you'll need to get a good diet in check, lots of ideas in the nutritional forums.
twice a day at the gym wont last long.
find a program you will stick with in the long haul - 5x5 or starting strength.
diet is key, however.
