    hi, I'm 19 and 105kg and play alot of rugby (hooker/prop)
    wondering if anyone would help me with any training tips???

    currently training 3 - 4 days in the gym as the season is over most workouts consist of weight training - squats, DB press, cleans, deadlift, dent over rower, killer arm workouts, shoulder press and generally anything like this. trying to reduce fat and replace with muscle mass and lose about 5kg to start with, more would be ideal.

    feeling pretty down to be honest, stupidly on my last set of deadlifts on monday i think it was, i got my form really off and have ended up with some slight pain in the bottom of my back also did some calf raises which i am now sporting a bandage and ice pack on my right calf

    lesson learned in regards to the deadlifts and i watched some more vids checking and double checking form,my new batch of BCAA arrived from MP yesterday and im going the gym tonight for a light session. ...

    So now the diet has been planned out, next up is the exercise.

    To hit the range in which we need to, to burn as much carbohydrate (the glycogen stores) as possible, we need to keep the rep range pretty high in each and every workout set as well as with our cv, at least over a minute per "working" phase. If you lift below around 12-15reps then you'll merely be using creatine and then oxygen to complete the set, not what we want here.

    Ok so its early on January 6th and I get a reply from a photographer I’ve been talking to about shooting with him… For Friday 13th… He’s headed back to Mallorca on the 15th and this is his only opening, so of course I agreed.

    Now to think how I can become shoot ready in only one week!

    First off; diet.

    I immediately drop carbohydrate to pretty much 0 (excluding my post workout shake only). I therefore increased my “good fats” intake. Thus meaning my diet ...
