I tend to tense my neck on various exercises naturally and this builds the neck .
I've seen these neck slings which attatch around your head and you add weight to a dangling chain, to help build up you neck.
Just wondered if anyone uses them and what they think.
Worth it?
And what kind of movements can be perfromed? I assume its just nodding your head up and down?

Things like deads and chins do the neck nicely, it's really a specialised training item really.
Testosterone also has a strong neck thickening effect.

I don't use them but I definetly would if I had access to one. To make my neck stronger I use neck curls, they seem to do the job. I'm trying to do wrestler bridges as well, I just can't seem to get the form right.
Never used one. dont think i would either. would imagine its easy to injure your self with one
One of the old fashioned training methods I do not agree with. Ever tried a wrestlers bridge? Don't unless you have strength there to start with!
I'm not bringing the spinal board along
That said although it is not an exercise I'd ever condone its been done by many over the years.
