Yes, it's when you try to add muscle but avoid adding too much fat. Putting zero fat while bulking is not feasible for the regular athlete IMO (you can do it only in special circumstances), but you can maintain your BF% across the bulking.
whats a lean bulk, is this when you put on muscle and no fat im not sure? i looked up google and couldnt find definition.

Bulking is bascially eating excess kcal for size, and people often will neglect the nutriotion and cheat...
Lean bulk would be literally that - clean food, excess kcal yes, but not OTT and also no junk food or cheats, just purely what you need, fats, proteins, carbs and thats it.Less fat is put on in this way.
Yeah true, lean bulk is stayin lean all year round and doesnt involve a cutting phase or does it? Is it true that more muscle can be put on when bulking compared to a lean bulking?
aw right cool thanks curt, many poeple suggested i should bulk and thats what ive decided and thats what im currently doing, im thinking about lean bulking now though.
3500-4000 calories a day are recommended for bulking yeah? What about for a lean bulk?
