    Thanks for the encouragement guys!
Sounds like it might be a 10kg bar - my gyms has a couple of those... As far as I know, bars are either the flimsyish 10kg or solid olys at 20kg.

That's some very nice gains, and putting the gains in percentages makes them look so much bigger. You should keep your starting 1RMs and keep track of progress percentagewise over the next years - will be quite fun when you're DLing 285%...

Yeah, I love thing's in percentages, because it just sounds nice to say when people ask how strong you are and it comes out as "well, 3 times the strength I was 2 years ago." hehe.

Will definitly post my diet and my Week 1 and Week 6 results when I get home, perhaps start another thread or roll it on from this and just change the title.

Also finding a new gym this weekend as I'm a bit buggered that my temp gym has no barbell and my uncle who's gym I've been using for the past 6 weeks is being sold off and taken down, so no more access to that.

As for 14 lbs in 7 weeks, unfortunatly, I made some diet mistakes when in my first 4 weeks and my ass has grown big time along with a 'little' fat around my belly - bear in mind this was with a Creatine load too. I was taking in about 70g of carbs in every meal (every 2-3 hours), and it was mostly Wholemeal Pasta and for things in breakfast, I was combing medium GI carbs (bagels and breads) with lot's of fats (lots of eggs and meat), it rocketed my weight. Managed to rescue the diet to a point in week 4 onwards thanks to guys on here and my weight gain has stalled by a great margin but my strength gains are still going up fast.

My 3,000 calorie diet now isn't the best either. I must eat around 8 times a day due to my compressed events in the afternoon but finally got the fats and carbs nicely split up. My last count of macro's was last week and nothinghas changed, its:

    Training Day
    38% Protein - 337g
    23% Carbs - 206g
    40% Fats - 158g

    Off Day
    40% Protein - 293g
    25% Carbs - 181g
    35% Fats - 115g

Will post the specific meals later

I read on the internet that skinny guys have a higher production of a hormone called T3. This controls metabolic rate.
In a very interesting study, people were fed 1000 extra calories per day than they needed taking into account weight and exercise etc. It was found some people gained 9lb, other gained just 1lb. This was usually found in those who started out skinny.

So what does that mean? Well, skinny peoples metabolic rate increase if they have extra calories. As I am skinny I need 4000 per day to get round the fact that my metabolic rate increases to burn off of calories. This means 150g of nuts a day, several eggs, lots of peanut butter, anything high calorie-but not sugar.

Thats why I have 4000 calories per day at the moment, and I have still not gained any weight since 1st Jan!
