Hey guys been going through the site a few times and decided to join the forum

Im pretty new to all this bodybuilding stuff so i dont know too much.
So apologies if i dont sound liek an expert lol

Im 20 and about 5'8/9 id say and weight about 12 stone, I have been going to the gym for about 5 months but then dislocated finger (meaning couldn't lift) then my gym closed for an update, then i done the ligaments in on my knee.
So i have not been in about 10 weeks, and i do miss it!!

But im starting up again tonight, my Whey protein should be here tomorrow or Wednesday good times. So im starting to take that along with the gym so hopefully i will bulk out and see the results.

Im here looking for advice mainly, im well into my football, 5 times a week, meaning im quite fit, my usual routine is football 5 times a week, gym 3 times a week, so i aint a big guy,or carrying alot of excess weight, but wouldn't say im really skinny but would defo look better bigger hence reason for going to the gym and taking protein drinks.
I usually try to work on my upper half when i visit the gym, as my legs get enough action through football so dont concentrate alot on them, i would ideally like my arms bigger, they have improved since starting the gym but thats my main goal to get bigger arms, when at gym i usually try a different mix of exercises for my arms, using both machines and free weights, but usually free weights.
I also would like to work on my chest and shoulders.

Im just wondering if you guys have any tips for or good exercises i could use.

    Cheers

You want to make sure your diet is all in order...buying whey is good stuff but if your diet is crap or half there...it wont help 1 bit.

Il be honest i dont set out a meal for every day in the week, or i wont say ' i cant eat that' since i play alot of football i would say i burn many calories in a week, so i dont avoid foods, seeing as im trying to bulk up i dont want to take in a bit of calories, then burn off more than im taking in, but i aint saying i just eat mcdonalds all week for example.
I try to eat as much pasta, fish, potatoes and chicken etc as much as possible, often have tuna and pasta, trying to keep up the protein.

But at the mo i aint too strict in what i eat.
Should i change for my diet alot for what im trying to do.

If your training to be better at football it would be worth training your legs as this will give you an increase in pace and power.Unless the fallout would leave you tired when playing then id try to avoid it without afew days to recover. Strong sholders and back will improve your game alot.

Sorry no i think were on wrong note i meant i play football alot so i burn alot of calories, but im going ot gym and taking whey protein shakes so i can try bulk up and get lean muscle, i mentioned football just so you guys knew i was active.

I aint sure what sort of diet if any i should go on, or if to just eat decent and include protein, eat meat pasta etc.
