    Ok, this thread is your opportunity to post any superstitions or habits you have at the gym.

    For example. I always drive there listening to the heaviest music possible. And I train with the heaviest music possible blasting through my head. It's that or silence but in my gym you could end up with anything from ruddy house music to decent heavy music .To be sure i bring my mp3 player.

    Not really a superstition but i wear certain vests for certain training days as well.

    I also always use the York plates as opposed to mixing the weider and olympic plates. I got into this habit from the start so i know exactly what i'm dealing with. And yes, not every 20 is a 20. I'm crazy like that.

    On stacking the Oly Barbell in the power rack for squats I load the plates then spin them...

    if you come to my gym and there is a white mark or X on the mirror in front of the power rack it's quite likely it's me. I often have to use a bit of spit and chalk (chalk off the floor) to make the mark, so it's kinda gross but not as bad as it sounds. It gives me my focal point when im squatting so it's basically my eye level right in the middle, so i stare at it throughout the full range. I'm short so it might not help many others in my gym!

    They could always use your chalk mark as part of there lower back workout by bending over to rub it off

    I'm not a supersticious person so I don't have any.

    Wow! You must make some pretty big jumps in weight between sets then! So if you bicep curl 40kg, do you then jump onto 55kg for the next set?!?

    theres some guys at my gym who always have the weight plate facing in, and elnino i do the same kinda thing i never use the grey weight tehres i only use the red ones! dunno why!
