As long as you can recover it will work.
Just and upper / lower split. I have my own home gym, but only really access to a barbell at the moment. My workout consists of solid compound movements.
Upper body - Monday ( less volume)
Bench press - 4x6
BOR's - 4x6
Overhead press - 4x6
Chins - 3x10 ( then add weight once I can do that)
Dips - 3x8
Lower body - Tuesday
Squats 4x6
Deadlift 3x10
Upper body - Thursday (more volume)
Bench press -3x10
BOR's - 2x10
Overhead press - 3x10
Pullups - 4xf (until I can do 10 reps)
Dips - 3x8
Lower body - Saturday
Deadlifts - 4x6
Squats 3x10
So what are your opinions on this. I have sort of implemented this off of Westside and then added in some lifts from stronglifts.

If you are willing to train over the weekend you could make it a 2 on 2 off, that way you will be hitting each muscle every fifth day.
Thanks for the input and good idea! Will take that into serious consideration. I will stick with the way I have it for now, If I am not progressing as to how I feel I should then I will move to the 2 on 2 off.
looks alright to me, I like lufers idea for the 2 and 2
PB's as of 2010: Deads 220kg, Squat 200kg(190 currently) , Bench 115kg,

I had a similar split but worked out for strength first part of the week and a normal BB split second part of the week. First part was primarily Load at max 5 reps, second part Volume at 8 reps max.
The split seems fine but will be borderline 1 Hour workout if that matters.
I'm not sure i could max my deads and squats more than once a week though? If you cant hen try it I guess.
I understand what you are saying paul, However I will try and see how I get on for a few weeks, then I will probably end up doing 2 on - 2 off.
Obviously after a few weeks I will change the reps about to keep it fun.
not a big fan...
why not just switch to a 4 day split?
