I have started going back to the gym recently - and have stumbled accross a problem (possibly).

I have been training for around 10 weeks now - 4 times a week.

Unlike previous times, I am also watching my diet this time (as I have collected a bit too much fat around the stomach for my liking).

    Age: 23
    Height: 5'11
    Weight: 164lbs

    Suppliments:
    MP Protein, Creatine

I am getting around 140grams protein a day (sometimes more) and aiming for lean meats, complex carbs etc etc and have cut out all the sugars, chocolate, sweets, fizzy drinks.

At first everything was going well, I was around 16% body fat but training well and decided to aim for 10%.

Seemingly, all of a sudden however, I have started to feel smaller - I just dont feel as big as I used to... chest, waist, arms etc all feel small (still seem to have my layer of fat around the stomach though - although that too is going down a bit - just very slowly).

I am now 13% body fat. But wondering why I just feel so small.

Is this normal? or am I doing something wrong (diet).

    Thanks

change the name and just give its contents - or youll get a warning thingy.

You measuring with some tape? could be a perception thing. Also you wanna post up your diet anyway? nothing wrong with letting us have a look at it :P

I wouldnt worry about the stomach fat, at your height and weight once your muscle goes up thatll go.

Your not overweight in the slightest :P

ahh sorry - Ill just remove it as its basically vitamins

No I just feel a lot smaller - and I think I look smaller aswell.

My diet is more just watching what im eating than a set diet.

I eat chicken, turkey, tuna, pasta (before football), oats, eggs, steaks, potato...

Depends what I have in to what I eat - im wondering if I dont get enough calories.

I usually seem to get around 2400 calories a day, and hit the gym 4 times a week and play football 3 times a week (an hour each - only cardio I do).

I just wasnt sure if this was to be expected in my quest for 10% body fat or not.

My stomach still seems to be going strong though.

    Monday:

    Incline Chest Press
    Decline Chest Press
    Flat Chest Press
    Flys
    Cables

    Tuesday

    Squats
    Deadlifts
    Lunges
    Tripple Extensions

    Wedneday

    Bent over Row
    Seated Row
    Close Grip Lat Pulldown
    Wide Grip Lat Pulldown
    Wide Grip Seated Row
    Standing Barbell Row

    Friday

    Arnold Press
    Military Press
    Shoulder Raise
    Seated Shoulder Press

There will be a few ive missed off there aswell.

I need to start more work on calfs, delts and tri's but thats the jist of my workouts.

I usually mix it up aswell btw - I dont do the same thing week in week out - I just include most of the stuff I am currently doing.

Looking at your user name could just be down to the fact everything to do with them is deflating at the moment??

Joking aside though mate you do need to up your kcals. You probably are shrinking. 2400 kcals you'd burn on a standard day sat around doing nowt. Add on to that the kcals your burning by gyming it 4x per week and the footy you play, your body will be turning to itself to fuel. Try adding some good fats into your diet as it seems clean enough as it is.
