    Hey all,

About 2 months ago I drastically changed my gym and diet routine - I go about 4-5 times a week now instead of 2-3 and I've cut out rubbish like chocolate and excessive amounts of carbs from my diet. I still eat carbs, but not nearly as much as before.

Anyways, recently I seem to be unable to full concentrate or get into training. The last 2 weeks or so has been quite stressful and difficult for me with work and family problems, so I don't know if that may be the cause or at least part of the reason why.
Could it be a sudden lack of motivation? My goal was to get leaner and to get a six pack - I have seen a lot of improvement over the 2 months and I'm close to achieving my goal, so it's not like I'm demotivated from lack of results! Maybe I need a stronger goal/motivational cause?
I keep my routine quite varied to keep things interesting but there is still a structure and I keep a gym log. My diet is equally as varied and I don't really miss chocolate or the other junk I used to eat. Am quite happy to eat healthily although the seasonal joys has meant I have broken from the regime as a treat.

Does anyone have any advice or tips? I really don't want to lose the results which I have worked so hard to gain! Thanks!

    Jules

Life goes through ups and downs. Take it how feels comfortable for you. Motivation should come form looking at images, photos, looking at yourself, then thinking how far a little work has seen you come - think about where you will be in a years time, what you will be lifting and looking like. If you are having troubles with food, I find the best thing to do is to just look at it as fuel for your body and nothing more. Sure, you can eat something tasty, but it will only be pleasurable for the time it is being eaten, afterwards you will feel bad for the rest of the day/week/month.

Also, think about how great you will look to yourself and others, the complements you WILL get, the health benefits etc

Reward yourself, if you can manage a moth without having a drink/eating rubbish have a couple of drinks or a cheat meal too reward yourself. You will find you look forward to it more, rather than just thinking - oh wow another night of drinking/plate of chips. The less you have these treats the many more times you will enjoy them and work harder towards them.

hey huni, it could be a mixture of things, but from my experience with dieting is that you can become quite frustrated, moody, tired etc, you should allow yourself one day off and have a meal of anything you fancy, this will 1) keep you saine 2) rev up your metabolism 3) give you the energy you need throughout the week
