Yep got to scrape the shin with the bar. They are called marks of pride, haha.

I took a video but my phone fell over during; then the battery died haha.

Instead here is a good video of Koklyaev being a boss:

He gets nice and low in the deadlift. Try and get your thighs as parallel to the floor as you can.

Having eyes up is really helpful as I noticed when lifting heavier weights if you are looking forward it gives you a chance to look down which means the nice straight back starts to round.

You should feel the deadlift in the quads, hams and glutes as well as the back.

Here is him squatting as well:

There used to be a video of him actually talking through the form but cannot find it!

If you trace his bar down its a straight line.

"I have see a few people use the edge of a bench to have the bum touch it is this a good thing to do to insure your getting the depth?"

Is this for the squat?Box squats are where you actually sit down and relax the hip flexors and then push up again. Touch and go squats are usually for depth purposes. It is good but if you are going ATG then you will not need it

Thank you very much I cant see the video just yet as at work but will do soon as i get a chance. I think my deads come across a a mi between straight leg and normal mixing the 2 up.

I can honestly say I have not really been feeling any thing in my quads or hams from my deads and that was doing it at 40-50kg, i do feel it in the lower back once i finish through and am always tried after doing it just dont get that burn feeling like i though i would be.

In saying that I think im being nervous with the weight as well I may be lifting to light. i managed a 70kg lift on Monday for 10 reps and the same with the squat. but i can do a 160kg leg press it may be as i feel my back is more supported on the leg press so i can put the weight high.

I may have some one try and watch me today when i go down there and see what they say.

thank you through you have been a big help, im sure ill have more to ask and check if you dont mind haha...
