i dont know much about human anatomy but there are internal obliques and other internal core muscles they may not be able to cope with the serious strain of that awesome move. . . just a suggestion but could be cramp in these smaller muscles??
I have been praticing the "human flag" move at the local park and managing to pull it off, but no matter how much I warm up - I get a REALLY intense pain in the area roughly where my kidneys are... the pain lasts for about 5 minutes and it literally puts me to the ground and I can't talk. I can normally deal with pain, but this actually feels like it is in my kidney or something.
I don't have any kidney problems to my knowledge and I don't actually think it would be the kidney causing the pain as it only ever happens when I do this move. I know most people will say "don't do it then" but it is frustrating, it is vital for my free running and I love the feeling of accomplishing it - just not the feeling after lol.
Like I say, it doesn't matter how much I warm up or how carefully I do the move... it just HURTS.
Any ideas what this is? Is there a certain muscle there? It definitely feels like a warning - I will back off it for a while til I find out what is causing it.

Yeah, it certainly could be cramp, but it is terrifyingly painful and not nice being near the kidneys. I have learnt to hold it for about 10 seconds, but the longer I hold it, the more it hurts when I get back to the floor.
I think it happened to me once when I was younger from jumping up to a high bar with one arm too... It is on par with being kicked in the balls, both instances make you feel sick, and like a bowl of jelly lol.
Wear boxer shorts when doing this exercise ... not a g-string??

Thank you, I always neglected this area of clothing while performing my stunts.
Are you taking creatine. It's probably damaging your kidneys with every single gram you ingest.
