have you any links to a detailed outline of it?? wouldn't mind reading about it out of curiosity. . .
Anyone here tried MST before? I've only just come across it and I'm kinda surprised I've not heard of it before, considering it's been around for 5 or so years. I'm thinking of incorporating it into the last 2 weeks of my next HST cycle so would appreciate any feedback if anyone's tried it before.
Basically you rest between reps (they call it M-Time), kind of like a rest pause and only do 1 set for each exercise. It seems to be based on fatigue management so you can double your RM easy with the same TUT.
To understand it, do a db curl with your strongest arm at your 10RM weight. You should fail at around 10 reps. Now do the same weight with your other arm but put the weight down for a few seconds after each rep... chances are you'll hit at least 20 reps. Kinda crazy but interesting. In theory you can up the weight and still hit those reps with a slightly longer M-Time. Say you did 2 normal sets of 10 at your 10RM weight and rested 90s, you could better that with MST, taking around the same time to perform all reps with rests and not fatigue or hit your CNS anywhere near as hard.
Like I said, I haven't tried it yet (I'm between HST cycles atm) but interested to hear if anyone's used it successfully before.

Will give it a go tomorrow, need to lift light for a while though - but see if it works.
Btw, it doesn't work well with squats i'm told! Having to re-rack 300lbs every rep might be a ballache i'd imagine.
