    I've got no problem with a DB bench, and agree with you on the extra ROM especially on the incline, but I'm not sure they have a beneficial place straight after a barbell bench.

    This is down to the lifter. Samuelsson did a flat barbell -> slightly inclined DB bench-> more inclined barbell bench. His bench press was absolutely monsterous.

    In WSFSB3 the DB bench is used as an accessory straight after the heavy compound exercise of your choice. (Different bench variations mostly)
