Depends on your previous experience in the gym. If you are new to lifting weights and when i say new i mean you never used to squat/ deadlift and often did set days just on arms then stick to SL 5x5.. If you have a bit more experience and would prefer to hit the gym 5 days a week then MAX OT is probably one of the best 5 day splits.

For pure hypertrophy gains - HST. Not really for beginners though.

How are you getting on? I started SL 5x5 nearly two months ago and I love it. Swallow your pride though and start with the low weights and build up. You will feel like a weed squatting 20kgs but it soon builds and you will feel so much stronger and more ready by the time you get around to the bigger weights.

I'm starting to struggle at the OHP, although I haven't failed at any of the lifts yet.

Give me a shout if you want to talk through the programme in more detail.

I kind of felt like that at first too, but it definitely gets tougher and you will see the benefits for sure.

I was chatting to a couple of guys in the gym today about it and they swear by it as well.

StrongLift is really good, I gained 5kg in just 4-5 weeks doing it, without tracking calories but just eating more and better.

Also to get "all around" the body u can put dips on the day with bench and BB curls or chin/pull-ups on the day with deadlift. And Plank for the six-pack on every day. Thats a total of only 5 exercises each workout, takes no time and did really well on me
