    Just thought I'd mention; his wrists are in a terrible position, and I've never seen so much bouncing in a squat. Don't replicate his form.

    @dope

    yeah I know....but it's advised to start with a moderate weight and increase from there so I won't be jumping straight in @ Max

    Don't get me wrong, I know how brutal it sounds, but if it works then I've got the commitment for it

    Like I say any thoughs are much appreciated

    a while back brooks kubik, a old school strength enthusiast and author posted about the 20 rep squats. he recommended to start at a light weight and just add the smallest increment you can when ever you hit 20 reps in teh next session.

    yeah this is basically the plan....feel like I've been following too much 'modern' building advise and something basic and brutal like this is gonna do wonders for me

    Due to shifts at work, only have time to do basic arm work this week so will be about 9 days before I start this routine....will post up results then assuming I go with this (which I almost certainly will)

    okay......
    followed this routine for 4 weeks now (i know 6 weeks is recomended) but this has done NOTHING for me

    It has improved my squat (obv) but the lack of deadlifting has actually reduced my strength overall. Went to start back on DL's again today and could only single rep 110kg. I know I should probably have started lighter but Im gutted none the less

    Think I'm gonna look into HST instead, maybe have a crack with Dolphinski

    Only thing I will take away from this routine is the high level of milk in my diet which I am going to maintain, probably stop the protein shakes all together and rely more on milk....with BCAA pills for added convenience

    thats music to my ears lol. it did seem a strange routine, i liked the concept though but clearly a complete dud. a bit like hmmmmmmmmmm stronglifts? you have about as much chance as pissing in the queens handbag than seeing any results on that stronglifts thing. its bad, and im talking joe weiders iron boots bad. and they were bad.

    I think the thousands of people that have had results on it would tend to disagree...

    Have you done stronglifts before for more than a month or two?

    nope, but been around long enough to know whats going to work and whats a total waste of time. seems to be a lot of fads flying around this forum and they are, stronglifts and fasting. so lets go into detail on that, lifting everyset for 5 reps and not eating. yeup sounds very effective.

    oh and ive heard the guy that invented this stronglifts thing is a complete yutz. and more pepole than not on this forum have said they saw no benifit from doing it. but even if there was a program where you train once a month and eat nothing but carbs there will always be a few pepoole that swear by it.

    I'm afraid I'm one of the disagree'ers. I wasted so much time on splits & hypertrophy workouts. I'm not saying that stronglifts is the best but for an ectomorph beginner it's one of them. My mates all asked how I got bigger so I got them on it aswell & they soon overtook the curl club too.
