I'm thinking of going on Lee Hayward's '20 Squats and Milk' routine as it looks like the sort of thing that will work for me to help with a fairly long-term plateau in mass gains.

Just wondering if anyone has used the routine before and has any feedback/thoughts on it.

I won't be sticking rigorously to the dietplan listed but will be maintaining the principles of it

Any comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

I dont think you'd see better results than using a solid strength routine first, followed by a hypertrophy cycle or two.

Whats your current strength level like? The 20rep thing is pretty old school and quite novelty!
"Squatting on a Bosu ball makes it so much more challenging!" So does getting tapped in the balls while squatting, want me to do that too?

brutal dude. build up the weight slowly.

you will get big fast on it though. i've only done 20 rep squats with front squats with clean grip once before. never again. went through the nine circles of hell and major ab doms for about 2 weeks after it.

yeah dope.....looks like the sort of old school routine that'll help me build up more mass

Current levels for 3RM are approx

    Dead's - 140kg
    Squat's - 120kg
    Bench - 85kg

lol yeah I'll increase the weight slowly if I do follow this routine, other basic workouts have got me to this level but need something fairly hardcore to 'smash through the wall' or some other roid bro terminology

also thinking about working in deadlifts, possibly......

6 Weeks 20x Squats and milk

    4x Weeks alternate routine (TBC)

    6 Weeks 20x Dead's and milk variation

    Thoughts.......?

(obviously dependent on first 6 weeks results)

sometimes pepole worry to much about overtraining that it actully stops them reaching there true potential. i would even say pick a muscle, pick an exersise and do nothing but that for 2 hours strait. sometimes you have to do what the bodys not expecting. slightly off topic but thought it was an appropriate time to add that. good luck with your new program :-) if nothing else you,ll be getting your calcium ;D
