I bought this bench, which was the best I could find locally, and the price was killer too. Anyway, it's the first time I train on a bench, so I may miss something, but I think the orthostats are too close together, which restricts arm movement. Maybe I don't do something right?

I could return the bench for another model, but the other alternatives are the marcy or some very bulky benches which will create a space problem in my apartment.

Other than that, the peck decks and the leg extension seem to work reasonably well, and the bench seems fine for my needs.

By orthostats you mean the bars that will hold the barbell right? ...if so dont worry about it. Some companys make em close, some wide. I'd take the 'pec deck' things off and use dumbells, and bin that leg extension bit.

    This'd be alot better:http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk/...er4_hide0.html
Can everyone stop thinking so much.please?

That looks like that one, with perhaps a few minor differences?

My intention was to substitute the leg extension with a biceps pillow anyway.

Yes, preacher pad (it is called a biceps pillow or biceps bench here).

Anyway, I have used the bench a couple of times, and looks like much of my initial thoughts about the orthostats width were due to my inexperience. But I will agree that the peck decks aren't as useful as I initially thought, as they seem to restrict the circular motion. I think I could use the peckdecks for heavier weights and then continue with dumbells of less weight.
