Just wondering with all this excessive heat ( report today says more of the same for August) is there a need to increase calories if bulking to compensate for the extra lost through the extra sweating, especially at night.

Also how about the need for extra supplementation during this period, I was thinking around workouts.

I am taking on the usual extra water but is anymore needed to be done

I would think not. All you are losing through sweat is water and minerals. So as long as your liquid intake is adequate and you take in enough minerals you should be fine.

I get minerals with a good vitamin and mineral tablet and I tend to drink at least 4 litres of water a day.

Oh yes I pee a lot as well

    Decrease calories if anything.

You're body does not need to heat itself, in high heat you'll find it harder to do exercises and you'll be more sluggish, burning less calories.

For an endo like me it's a bitch cutting in this heat.....

    Sure makes you sluggish.

    Good point, thanks.

Would you just cut carbs and fats and would you still keep up the calories around workouts ?

I would not cut anything. if your diet is working for your goals, I would stick with it. Personally I do not agree with terminators post.

Why would you cut calories because its slightly hotter outside? do you think bodybuilders in hotter countrys need less calories to gain muscle/lean up? LOL baloney if you ask me.

    You call this heat?

I call it a bloody oven.

nrage, the body uses calories to keep itself heated through muscle movement, to keep the core temp stable. If the body does not need to do this, then no calories are burnt (i.e. no shivering)

Think of it like your central heating. You turn it off in the summer.

Yes mate I know. scientifically your theory might hold up, But by it being a few degrees warmer outside isnt going to cause that much of a difference so you should drop your energy intake, thats the biggest pile of steaming horse crap ive heard on this board..
