Do an upper/lower split![]()
I have been training now for nearly 3 years, but due to only basic equipment I have not changed my workout much in that time. I also play football twice at the weekend and training once during the week, but will bodybuild at least 3 times a week, usually monday,wednesday,friday. I would like to stick this interval but just a bit of advice on exercises and routines for further gains. The equipment I have is a bench, barbell, dumbell, and loads of weight plates. The following has been pretty much my routine.
Workout 1.
Bench Press - 4 sets, 8-12 reps
Dumbell Fly - 4 sets 8-12 reps
chin-up - 4 sets 8-12 reps
Seated tricep extension - 8-12 reps
1 arm seated over-head tricep extension
Workout 2.
Sqauts - 4 sets 8-12 reps
Seated Press behind neck - 4 sets 8-12 reps
Dumbell Shrugs - 4 sets 8-12 reps
Lateral flies - 4 sets 8-12 reps
Wide grip barbell curl - 4 sets 8-12 reps
seated dumbell curl - 4 sets 8-12 reps.
Workout 1 would be completed monday & friday and workout 2 completed wednesday. The next week would be workout 2 monday & friday and workout 1 on wednesday.
What peoples opinion, how could I change this using equipment I have. Do other members have same equipment, whats your routine.
Any advice is much appreciated.
