    Hi
Just started a programme of Optimised Volume Training , its not quite as boring as the German Volume Training as you superset with two different exercises to make up the 10 . Has anyone had any experience with this I tried it before for 4-6 weeks and it seemed to work but Im wondering if its just the pump from so many sets that Im thinking is the growth . Its quite a long workout too ! Am wondering if I would be better off going for the training programme of a 4 day a week upper/lower bofy split as described in the muscle and size section . Any comments greatfully received

    Cheers

I've always thought that the proponents of OVT are missing the whole point of GVT; that said, you'll still grow on it no doubt. I just don't consider it very similar to GVT at all really - it doesn't tax your body in the way GVT is designed to. Although I don't put too much effort into debating different training methods or searching for an ideal method, because I find it more useful to mix it up every couple months anyway. Basically, if something is working, keep doing it; once it stops working, or you get bored of it, switch to something else.
