Wow. I've been away from this thread for a while, and the arguments are still going strong.
At the end of the day, you can only present people with research, and let them interpret it how they will, and then compare it to their own real-world findings. Some people find pre-exhaust useful, some people dont. For example, with me, i dont care what the research says, i know when i was bodybuilding pre-exhause was a good way to bring up lagging muscles that didnt want to grow from compound movements. I dare say there may be some studies later on that find pre-exhaust useful in a capacity that hasnt been explored yet.
I think this is one where people will just have to agree to disagree.

i just spent the last hour and a bit going through this thread and was wondering if anyone actually changed there opinion on the matter on it? several month on has/ is anyone using pre-exhaust to there benefit/dismay? id be interested to hear on this one!
im not going to give my tuppens worth as that might cause an eruption of another 14 pages and ill never get my work done!

As KP says it does work, but use it selectively and learn from my mistake and don't do it too long or you could easily overttrain.

i used to use it quite often 3 or 4 years ago when i started training and once or twice more recently but i cant say im the biggest fan of it. i dont doubt peoples progress with it though!
