I used to do back squats for leg work and di francos(skinny b*stard) guide has recently changed to front squats.. which are better

also what are the best deadlifts to do.. a straight forward deadlift or a romanian dead lift

    Cheers

The traditional Back squat aims more at developing allover mass in the legs whereas the front squat targets the Front of the thigh (Quadriceps) more then anything else.

The normal deadlift is again an overall developer however the RDL is aimed at targeting the Hamstrings (Biceps Femoris).

Same. Front Squats own back squats all over. Not only that but when going real heavy you have less of a chance of rounding your back. and they destroy your quads (In a good way).
