I like hill sprints personally - they give you something concrete (literally!) to aim at rather than abstract time or distance.
Only good if you have a hill to run up though!
Anyone got any other ideas for HIIT? Aside from running Sprints?....What else would be good to do early morning? I cant get to the gym as its not open at that time.....so I have my home and garden or the streets!....

I wouldn't be doing HIIT first thing in the morning anyway

Its detrimental to do HIIT on an empty stomach, main fuel source = carbs, and your body wont have any.
HIIT will force more nutrients to the muscles (just like a workout) so eating proper pre workout nutrition is vital.
If thats the only time you can do it I would at least have some fruit and whey 45mins before.

Well ive been knocking back, as i said, 15g BCAA with coffee (latter no related obv), so far...4 weeks in...havent lost strenght....touch wood. Can ramp that up to bit more..or just knock back 25gm Concentrate or Isolate.
learning curve for me..as Ive never done HIIT......
I didn't say 15g BCAA now did I?
Have 30g whey with maybe a banana before (cabrs and protein) and then some low GI carbs (oats) with whey again afterwards.
The more of your carbs you have around exercise the better, plus you should be able to sprint with much more intensity this way.

Skipping, followed by Sprints followed by Spinning!
They seem to be the best HIIT activities....in order of the most effective
Man ill look a right knob skipping in the garden! although I dont need to skip in the garden to be that anyway so makes no difference! Oh well.
