    WHAT IS THE ISSSUE?

You may have recently noticed that a few of our products, such as Glutamine, ZMA® and Tribulus are not visible on our website. This is due to changes in Google Policy related to their list of “banned terms”. You can read more about their policy here:

    http://support.google.com/adwordspol...er=176031&rd=2

As the largest online sports nutrition e-retailer in the UK, we work closely with Google to ensure full compliance with their policies and directives. This means that users visiting our site from Google will not be able to view or purchase any of the products that Google deems to be prohibited. For example if you cick on a Google ad, such as the example below, you will be unable to view these particular products.

Utterly bizarre. Google are pathetic for doing this.

Is this why the search feature on the site is broken for some products?

@ Elvis. Yes mate. I emailed them and they replied saying that it was a problem that they were aware of and were sorting out. That glutamine thread etc will be directed here etc.

      Anabolic steroids
Google AdWords prohibits the promotion of anabolic steroids, muscle-enhancing stacks and cycles, body-building supplements that have a similar effect to steroids, and related content, irrespective of claims of legality. Prohibited items include, but aren't limited to:

      Anabol
      CellMass
      Clenbuterol
      Dianabol
      Extreme Mass 3.5lbs by SciFit
      Finakits
      H-T Dianabol
      L-Glutamine
      Mesterolone
      Nitrix
      Novedex XT
      TZ 3 Stack by SciFit
      Vasospan
hCG promoted in conjunction with anabolic steroids
      Literal "lol".

Could someone please help me understand, why glutamine is associated with anabolic steroids?

Maybe Wotan is onto something with his HGH thread. I think it's come to something when the Mods are juicing.

Crap - this means that I'm going to fail my future drug tests, with the BDFPA! Oh noes!

      Ignorant jack-asses.

I placed "ignorant" in there for you, James!

Additional HGH release via glutamine ingestion, is somewhat less effective than banging a syringe full in your backside

Google are acting like neurile imbeciles with this one. It is like kids when they just say,

"La la la la not listening" and cover their ears. I would love to hear their reasoning as to why an amino acid has been grouped in with steroids.

should you not be attempting to educate Google on L-Glutamine !....instead of just accepting what they have done, this is gonna cost you money MP surely !

I don't understand this anger towards Google and I don't understand why if you do a manual search on Google the product actually shows up. Example:
      http://www.google.co.uk/#sclient=psy...le%3Aglutamine.

Mp should use an own search engine like HT Dig:
ht://Dig -- Internet search engine software

      Google.
Part of the anger stems from the fact that Google idiotically categorised benign and potentially health-promoting supplements like glutamine and ZMA in the same category as 'Anabolic Steroids'. That is completely retarded and ignorant, and the people at Google that researched what constitutes an 'Anabolic Steroid' should get a strong talking to.

However, you are right in the fact that it is still possible to Google search these supplements and MP's products appear in the search, so it appears that Google have not carried through this action yet.

Searches for Glutamine will always appear through natural/organic search (as will 'anabolic steroid'), it's the paid for search which appears at the very top and down the right hand side which is now prohibited. And Brun, believe us, we did try all we could to attempt to educate them.

So, Google can turn up and index your pages with l-glutamine (as evidenced by the fact it can be found through Google), but MP's own internal search function can't find return the same product to a user specifically searching for it?

Something is wrong with this picture!

I can still find l-glutamine via the left-hand menu, hopefully this will continue to work!

This does not make sense, goto Google and type in Myprotien Glutamine, and the first link points to glutamine on myproteins website. Am I misunderstanding something here.

I don't think google is just one search engine as it were - it seems to be a collection of pathways that drive you to their core database. One of the pathways is the one that is most commercially used because of its advert placement. And this is the one affected. By using a different pathway you are circumventing the commercial rules. I don't think google give a monkey's about glutamine or steroids as it happens - they just don't want to hack off their advertizers or the government. Don't forget there are plenty of places where the internet is banned in a way we cannot understand over here. Think of China and facebook for instance!

It's not like this on other sites.... It's just because MP and google are in bed with each other for the advertising deal.

Not only that, the MP search is buggy and slow and returns errors
