  • MORE PRICE CUTS ANNOUNCED!

    CUSTOMER NOTICE:

    THE BACKGROUND

In September 2011, while the rest of the sports nutrition market were increasing their prices to customers, we took the bold step of reducing our prices on over 100 products. Since then, the economic picture has worsened with increasing unemployment and a steady stream of high profile retail closures. We know money doesn’t go as far as it used to, and yet from our latest survey, it is clear the importance you place on your sports nutrition. Apparently, your supplementation is more important than your sex life!

Over the past six months, we have been working closely with our suppliers and our new owners, The Hut Group, to use our buying power to negotiate even lower prices. This isn’t easy when nearly all commodity prices are spiralling upwards. To help support you at this challenging time, and as 2012 looks set to be another tough year, we have decided we have also taken the business decision to cut our profit margins on a number of products in order to reduce the prices you have to pay.

    MORE MAJOR PRICE CUTS

We are very pleased to announce a new round of major price cuts to over 100 products with reductions in price of as up to 50%! These cuts take effect immediately and can be easily identified on the individual product pages on our website. Once again, these price cuts are not short term offers but long term price reductions across some of our best-selling products like Impact Whey Deluxe, Instant Oats, Hurricane® XS, ZMA® and many more!

Below are a few examples of typical price cuts that have been implemented today. You will find over a hundred price cuts on the Myprotein website!

In addition to the latest price cuts, we have invested significantly in new product development over the past six months and we are really excited about a whole host of new cutting-edge products coming in the next few weeks and months. Make sure you are signed up to our emails to ensure you get to hear about these before anyone else! Simply email marketing@myprotein.co.uk if you are not currently receiving them.

    OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

A lot has happened over the past year at Myprotein. We have smashed all sales records, we have moved to new premises, we have grown rapidly in new markets across Europe and we were bought by The Hut Group. With so much happening, it has only served to focus our efforts even harder on remaining true to our core brand values.

Myprotein is 100% committed to offering:

    • Only premium products that use the finest ingredients
    • Products at the lowest price guaranteed*
    • An unparalleled and diverse range of sports nutrition products
    • Excellent service to you, in online shopping, delivery and customer support

These latest price reductions are simply down to our commitment to offer you the very best value for money, bar none!

    FAQs

When will price cuts occur exactly?
The price reductions will take place with immediate effect. The new prices will apply to all orders placed from now.

Will there be future price reductions?
As part of our continued commitment to you, we will always try to maintain or reduce our prices. We have extremely good relations with all our suppliers and as mentioned previously, our tough negotiating on price is a hallmark of Myprotein. We also rely on your continued support as this increases our ability to drive prices down and get the very best prices.

    Will prices ever increase?
We hope not, although we cannot make any promises on this. Global commodity prices continue to increase dramatically and yet we will do everything possible to avoid increasing any prices unless we absolutely have to. As always, you have our firm commitment that we will do everything within our power to decrease, not increase, prices.

Why have some prices decreased more than others?
This depends on the terms we have agreed with each supplier, the globally traded prices of those ingredients and the amount we purchase in bulk. In some cases, we have cut our profit margins to make the price cuts possible.

Has the product quality been compromised to achieve these price cuts?
As already mentioned, the product quality will remain unchanged. Each product is still sourced from the same suppliers as before and adheres to the same exacting quality standards that you have come to expect from Myprotein.

Will you be cutting back in some areas to finance these cuts?
Not at all, these are pure price reductions based on our massive buying power and strong supplier relationships. We will still continue to develop and launch more products than anyone else, offer market-leading delivery services and expert customer service.

What if I still find a product cheaper elsewhere?
If you still find the same product for less somewhere else, you can use our Online Price Beater. We guarantee to not only match any like-for-like product, but we will beat it by 5%!

You're right, my flavour selector wasn't showing the unflavoured version. My apologies to MyProtein and great news about the price cuts!

I just noticed the Hemp protein prices have been cut significantly to a MUCH more affordable and competitive level. This is great I hope it stays at the new price so i can make MP my regular hemp protein dealer again

It made me laugh, because a few weeks ago when i needed more hemp protein i tried to use MP's Price Matcher to match their hemp protein price (when it was full price) to a competitor hemp protein price. AFAIK they were practically the same products, except the competitor product was much cheaper, and I have used it several times before and the quality was exactly the same as the MP hemp.

MP refused to price match it (competitor product was not certified organic, but identical in every other way), but a week later (after i was left no choice but to shell out for the competitor product) they go ahead anyway and reduce the price of their hemp protein to less than the competitor product!
I'm not complaining, but i wish they had just Price Matched their hemp protein product in the 1st place ....

whats the difference from tesco price cuts and mp,s? well mp,s are genuine and dont rip you off on other parts of the store to compensate for the offers. mp i trust, tesco just stick it to you when your at your finnacial lowest.
