Myprotein.com has teamed up with St Helens RFC to become its official nutrition supplier for the 2011 Engage Super League season. Finishing runners up in last year’s Grand Final, the Saints now have the extra edge to take them all the way this year.
With a team full of stars hungry for silverware, including current MP athlete Kyle Eastmond and new signing Michael Shenton, Saints are set for a storming season. The club kick off their 2011 campaign this Saturday, 7pm, at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, with the game being broadcast live on SKY Sports. The clash has classic written all over it, with Saints facing old rivals Wigan Warriors in what has become the biggest derby match in rugby league.
The man responsible for getting Saints in formidable shape for the coming season, head of strength and conditioning, Matt Daniels, said: “It’s fantastic to be working with Myprotein.com and they were our first choice in the search for a new sports nutrition partner. They’ve been leading the way in the sports nutrition market over the past couple of years, and the MP formulas such as Hurricane XS and Recovery XS are exactly what I need for the players. It’s going to be a tough season, so keeping the team fit and healthy is my number one priority, making it essential for us to bring onboard Myprotein.com as a partner.”
Myprotein.com fans can expect to hear more from Matt over the coming season as we follow the great work he’s doing with the Saints players.
