  • NEW! Hard Gainer Extreme!

We are pleased to announce that after months in development we have just launched one of the most calorie dense weight gain formulas on the market today, Hard Gainer Extreme. An evolution of the hugely popular product Hard Gainer, Hard Gainer Extreme is available in both a 2.5kg and 5kg pouch and comes in 3 different flavours (chocolate smooth, strawberry, vanilla.) Ideal for anyone wanting to increase muscle mass in 2012!

This scientifically driven blend is packed with over 440 calories per 100g serving, contains 5 different high quality protein sources and has a fantastic amino acid profile rich in the BCAA's Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine to ensure optimal protein synthesis and minimal muscle break down. Furthermore the high quality protein blend is supported by an equally impressive carbohydrate blend containing clean, low glycaemic carbohydrates including fructose, waxy maize starch and maltodextrin plus a source of healthy fatty acids in the form of Flax Seed powder.

    New Product: Hard Gainer Extreme
    Size: 2.5kg I 5kg
Flavours: Chocolate Smooth I Strawberry I Vanilla

You discuss the latest addition to our range here in the MP Forum.

Fructose, waxy maize starch and maltodextrin do not make an "impressive carbohydrate blend containing clean, low glycaemic carbohydrates" in my book.

Fructose may be clean, but it's still just sugar.
Maltodextrin can barely be called complex. It's broken down fairly quickly and is usually used as a cheap filler.
Waxy maize starch is as bad as eating white bread.

So, the added fat will slow the digestion down, but those carbs aren't great.

To be honest, I am pleasantly surprised by this shake, perfect for the market it is aimed at, people that don't really count calories from foods and are plateaued at a weight, to be honest the carb sources are good for the price of the supplement, fructose post work is a good thing as is inulin - clean or low g.i./complex carbs are all a myth anyway.

As a side note, I'd rather eat white bread than wholemeal bread!
