I am currently planning my next bulk and am looking to trying a higher fat, high protein lower carb approach getting the large majority of carbs from fruit and veg. I have most of my diet sorted but am struggling with breakfast, I currently have a protein shake with oats for convenience as I start work at 6am alot through the week, what can I replace the oats with to add cals and fill me up but not needing to cook?
For Personal Training in North Yorkshire go to www.edgept.co.uk

500g tub natural greek style yogurt. When choosing at the supermarket, pay attention to the macros on the label- it's getting increasingly difficult to avoid the low fat alternatives. I think ASDA only does one high fat one, but it's very good. You don't need to cook, it's easy going if you struggle to eat 'propper' food in the morning, it's a mild flavour and the macros are perfect for a high fat diet.

Doesn't sound very tasty, someone on a high fat diet shouldn't be excluding yolks and I think putting some olive oil on an otherwise low fat food is a poor approach to a high fat diet. Can't see there being much by way of micro nutrients in that meal, either.

The yogurt doesn't sound like a bad idea, was also thinking of adding cream to a protein shake? I probably want to keep a shake in there too as its a good start to the day with for protein.

You'd be suprised how much protein there is in natural yogurt. When you've been on a high fat low carb diet for a while you'll realise you run into more protein than you really need just eating fatty foods, so I wouldn't bother with a protein shake. IMO, this sort of diet goes well with fish oil supplementation and multivitamin/mineral but you needn't worry about protein.
