ust been going over my diet and i think i have too much protein at breakfast

breakfast being a shake of 300ml skimmed milk, 50g whey and 100g oats

this gives 58g of protein and 660kcal, seems a lot for one sitting. will my body be using all this protein or is it too much in one go?

would i be better of taking 25g of whey instead, so the shake gives 40g of protein and 560kcal?

I think 50g of whey is OTT at any time, even PWO. How much do you weigh? I'd knock that down to about 30g

Why not Bison? After an 8 hour fast? What are the dire effects of 50g of protein at one sitting? Can it make one queesy?

No it's just a fast digesting protein. Now I'm not saying the body can only digest x amount of protein in one sitting but I do think the body will struggle to make use of so much fast digesting protein in one go. 50g of Milk Protein or a big steak and eggs no problem as these will be slow digesting and release amino acids over a longer period of time.

50g of whey will just release loads in one go, I bet a fair percentage of that would just be converted to glucose via gluconeogenesis and burnt as fuel of stored as fat? So a bit of a waste?

I tend to have about 25g WPC before my main breakfast, which consists of eggs, etcetc. (Whole food protein - essentialin the morning IMO!)

Yeah I do the same. I'll neck 30g Whey in water soon as I wake up, then I get ready and cook breakfast, etc.
