Just use common baking soda, it's less abrasive than normal toothpaste, it's cheaper and more effective:

I'm switching to baking soda, soon. As a side note, been soap and shampoo free since the start of December now, baking soda and apple cider vinegar for all cleaning needs, loving it... toothpaste is the last things that must now go!

Since my last post here, i also have tried Toms of Maine fluoride-free range. Nice taste and not very abrasive.

I'm wary of a lot of toothpastes and mouthwashes from health shops because a lot of them contain Tea Tree Oil, which some studies show evidence of it being very estrogenic.

As a side note, also avoid mouthwashes with alcohol.

One combination I have used to great effect (see other threads) is baking soda mixed with an equal amount of salt.

    1. Wet toothbrush and swipe across a bar of ordinary soap once or twice.
    2. Dip toothbrush in mixture.
    3. Brush lightly avoiding back of tongue (tastes horrible).
    4. Rinse and then brush tongue with clean toothbrush.
    5. Rinse well again.

Floss as and when you like.
