    just a quick question.
    i was reading a post the other day about fluoride being a bad thing in toothpaste and duly sent the mrs out to buy me some fluoride free stuff. she come home with something called "euthymol" it does not mention fluoride anywhere but does this make it fluoride free? if not what brand should i be looking for?

    Euthymol is the toothpaste I've been using for years. Its brilliant stuff.

    If you don't like the taste (and it is strong) another good one is Sarakan. It comes in a pink box and is particularly good for your gums.

    I'll bear that in mind thanks.

    I've been told that we have to finish our arm&hammer first before I'm allowed to open the good stuff, so it'll probably be a week or two before i find out.

    I use Sarakan and I love it. But if I ever have difficulty getting hold of it I can always fall back on Euthymol (I never realised until now that is was fluoride free - very surprising seeing as it's made by Big Pharma's Pfizer!). I always thought it was a 'smoker's toothpaste' - or am I getting it mixed up with something else?!

    Whats wrong with flouride?
    Its the main caries preventing thing in toothpaste. Plus where im from theres flouride in the water so it cant be that bad.
