Just a silly quick question. I bought 5kg of MP instant oats a while back of which I am about halfway through, and now I am seriously considering the high fat approach, but I am left wondering, what am I to do with my 3g of oats I have!

Can I still have a scoop post-workout or would that be counter productive to the whole diet?

Use them for your carb up days

When you eat the foods your body is made for (Paleo foods) in a framework that your body is made for (feast-fast, such as IF), it all works beautifully.

If you're on the AD then you can still eat the oats on your carb up day. I eat a few bowls of porridge on my carb up day.

You can also still be low carb and eat oats every day. Depending on the rest of your diet a scoop of oats pwo probably won't take you over 100g of carbs.

Well, 3 g of oats is less than a small scoop, so that shouldnt be to big a deal to use up

Seriously though, they are ideal for your carb-up days.

I think to begin with you'd need to shot for sub 30g to allow your body to adapt to burning fat as fuel. This takes upto about 2 weeks i believe which is why the majority recommend not carbing up over the first weekend at the start of the diet. After that i guess you could go over the 30g as long as you don't over do it.
