Any comments on my diet would be appreciated as I am trying to build lean muscle.

7.30 Scotts oats and a whey protein shake

9.00 tin of mackeral fillets or fresh mackeral or a boiled egg

    11.00 scotts oats

    12.00 1 banana

    12.15 workout

straight after workout 2 bananas protein shake and 5g creatine

3.00 jacket potato with a tin of tuna in sunflower oil (is this best as it's quite fatty compared with brine or springwater)?

6.00pm tea which is whatever the missus cooks usually chicken salad or prawn salad with burgen bread (love this bread hope it's ok)

    8.30 boiled egg

    10.00 cottage cheese

    10.30 bed

    many thanks

First of all your diet means nothing if we don't have a rough idea of things like your age, weight, bodyfat levels, experience, activity levels and perhaps your credit card number and security code.

7.30 Scotts oats and a whey protein shake

Looks alright, although just opt for Tesco Value Oats, easier on the wallet and exactly the same oats

9.00 tin of mackeral fillets or fresh mackeral or a boiled egg

That seems a very small meal. Ttry having 4 boiled eggs or perhaps 2 tins of mackerel

    11.00 scotts oats

    12.00 1 banana

    12.15 workout

straight after workout 2 bananas protein shake and 5g creatine

    looks alright to me

3.00 jacket potato with a tin of tuna in sunflower oil (is this best as it's quite fatty compared with brine or springwater)

Sunflower Oil is bad! Get the tuna in brine and add your own extra virgin olive oil. Or better still eat some oily fish such as salmon, kippers etc. Ditch the potato and have a sweet potato

6.00pm tea which is whatever the missus cooks usually chicken salad or prawn salad with burgen bread (love this bread hope it's ok)

I hope she washes her hands first and cooks in just an apron? Pics would be useful here

    8.30 boiled egg

What's with the one boiled egg? Eat a few of them, or perhaps have something else

    10.00 cottage cheese

Might as well just move this to the same time as your eggs. Wont make any difference in the long run

    10.30 bed

    many thanks
Ideally we'd need to know calorie intake, protein, fat, carbs etc.

    Where's your fruit and veg??

As Gareth has pointed out, where's the veg ??

Veg is ideal for lean bulking as it fills you up and provides nutrients etc.

thanks guys i am 6 foot 1.5 and only 12.5 stone. When shall I have my vedge and can i eat it raw as I can't cook to save my life suppose I could have a raw carrot. I love me sunday dinners with vedge that the wife does and I suppose your right that's the only vedge I get. I go to the gym 3 days a week and play compeitive football twice a week. I love boiled eggs also but they are making my farts stink like hell if I have more than one a day.

No naked shots of the missus just yet btw.

Raw is fine if thats the only way, salad in sandwiches is an option or blend veg to make soup.

up your eggs to 5/6 a day and your farts will stop( did for me anyhow)

add your veg to all meals if possible. although i personally wouldn't advise brocli with oats. most veg is simple to cook. bung it in a pan of boling water and leave it there until it's as crunchy or soggy as you prefer.

It does look like your under eating though. As gareth points out up your snacks.
I'm eating more than you and i'm cutting!(but then again look at my name )

Buy a steamer and steam a load of veg the night before, snack on that with your other meals
