hi guys & gals
im hoping someone can shine some light on my problem, i currently weigh 128 kilos with a BMI of 35 which is classed as obese i belive, i have previously trained with a no carb diet and living on protein shakes, i got myself down to 121 kilos last year, but have since put it back on slowly due to not training regularly, my diet is poor and wanted some advice about them like what to eat and when to eat it, i work 6am -2pm so will be training after work from now on, i dont need to build muscle yet just want to concentrate on stripping the fat off my body mainly around top legs, stomach and chest. what is the most affective way of doing this? ive also herd some people mentioning keto diets how do these work and are they affective? i have a target of 114 kilos that i would like to achive sooner rather then later, i also supplement with alcar, multivits, glucosamine, fish oils. thanks. any imput welcome...

thanks for the reply, i had a quick search looking to find some good info on keto dieting cause i belive this could of been what i did before as all i was doing was eating chicken breast, steak, pork all lean, fruit, nuts, and alot of protein shakes... i was doing 30 mins cardio a day and different muscle groups daily, atleast 4x a week...
Have a look through the diet & nutrition section or do a search for "anabolic diet".
Theres tons of threads on keto diets around.
Hello bigry, firstly welocme aboard, you'll get loads of help on here.
You tell a story that sounds very close to home to myself although you got a bit of a higher starting point than me. But with what was similar BMI's. (from this point on throw everything you know or care about bmi away, it doesnt matter. Concentrate on your BF% instead) But i've gone from 106kgs to 93kgs since march using a high fat approach.
I'm no good at explaining the science behind it but if you read the fats fats fats ebook in the diet & nutrician section it will give you a good understanding of what I think your looking for (certainly helped me). Don't worry it looks long but the last 10 pages or so are links and lists of the authors sources.
By the way, one of the most important things for you to do regardless of which dietry method you choose is to start building your muscle.... the more muscle you have the higher your metabolism and the more fat your body will burn at rest.
Good luck...
