hi, im new and have been hitting the gym for a while with little results cominf very slowly...

im currently 6 ft 1... and 86kgs and 12-13% body fat.... at the moment im not too lean but still want to add mass to around 92kg before i attempt to cut. but i would like to keep the mass i gain now as lean as possible.

i was told my diet is hindering me. so i been trying to keep it cleaner.
    now the avg day is:

    first thing: cereal

snack: egg sandwhich (2x eggs).. and banana

lunch: pasta (150-200g) and one and half chicken breast or tuna(150g).

    snack: beans on toast

snack: 2x peanut butter on toast

dinner pasta (150-200g) with meat -often the opposite of lunch.. and some veg

    .................................................. .................................................. ...
now along with this i have just purchased MP weight gainer. its 400kcal a shake, 46g carbs, 34g protein. ...

im taking half a shake before workout (2scoops instead of 4) and half after finishing...

however, since taking it i find it may not be agreeing with me as when i go toilet its sometimes a bit of the runs... - does my body need to get used to it? and am i digesting the nutrients?
or should i stop taking it?
and what could be the cause, too much carbs?

    .................................................. .................................................. ..
anyway i just need to know if im going about the whole thing right...??
    more carbs? less protein?

    any help appreciated guys...

you need to eat more, you dont need the weight gainer. nail the diet and you will gain.

this is not true, if you believe eating more fat will make you add fat, then do you believe eating more protein will lead to bigger muscles etc? It's simply not the case. Fat is an energy substrate and decent fats found in meat, fish, eggs and nuts contain a great deal of nutrients.

I would say just eat more when you do eat. Meal frequency isn't important so long as you are eating 3+ times a day. Preferably try to have most food in the hours following your training session

Best weight gainer is whole food to be honest. If you need to add extra calories, whey and double cream is an excellent calorie booster.

When you eat the foods your body is made for (Paleo foods) in a framework that your body is made for (feast-fast, such as IF), it all works beautifully.
